After Labrand spent his entire childhood in Pijnacker, he started his career in 2002 at Zoetermeer FM; after which he presented the local chart at Stadsradio Delft. After this he entered the training program of 3FM, where he presented the program “Marek” for three months. In June 2003, he switched to Yorin FM. Here he presented various programs, including a hit parade on Saturday afternoon. From April 3, 2006, Labrand could be heard on Slam! FM, where he presented the afternoon show and evening show.

He has been a disc jockey with Radio 538 since 2008. He presented Mark Labrand on Saturday and Sunday evening between 6 and 8 pm on the Dare You Go program. He can also be heard regularly in the absence of several colleagues. He also produced the programs of Jens Timmermans, Tim Klijn and Niek van der Bruggen on several days a week. He also turned the Nonstop 40 together on Sunday afternoon. He was also the sidekick, producer and regular replacement for Edwin Evers on the program Het Beste van Evers Staat Op, which is broadcast on Saturday morning.
In addition to his radio work, he can be heard regularly as a voice-over on television. On RTL 4 and RTL 5 he could be heard as a voice-over of Bestemming Nederland, JENSEN! and Campinglife. In 2005 and 2006 Labrand was also a promotional voice for RTL 5. In 2008 Labrand was heard on RTL 5 as a voice-over for Rock Nation. In addition, he was active for Dazyers on Veronica television in the same year. In 2011 and 2012 Labrand was heard for Ik Kom bij jebij and in 2012 he was heard for Holland’s Got Talent and Sterren Springen on Saturday. Since 2012, Labrand can be heard for National Geographic Channel.
In 2008 Labrand closed the year with a live presentation on RTL 5 during the National New Year’s Night. This was Labrand’s presentation debut on television.
In 2009 he took part in the television program Let’s Dance where he formed a dance group with other DJs from Radio 538. The DJs made it to the final but did not win in the end.
